FLOYD CRAMER & CHET ATKINS The two have each been inducted into both the Rock and Roll and Country Music Halls of Fame, and their names have become synonymous with the NASHVILLE SOUND they pioneered. You can feel their influence on the hits of artists like Elvis Presley, Patsy Cline, the Everly Brothers, Dolly Parton, Roy Orbison, Don Gibson, Jim Reeves, and countless others. And though they both lost their lives to cancer – Floyd in 1997 and Chet in 2001 – their NASHVILLE LEGACY lives on through Floyd’s grandson, pianist JASON COLEMAN, and Chet’s niece, guitarist MEAGAN TAYLOR. The Emperor’s New Clothes

“Dress for success” is good advice that the Emperor takes whole-heartedly, wanting to impress new friends. But where to stop? When the clothes (and other people’s opinions)

become more important than the people of the  kingdom, trouble brews. To help their beloved Emperor find the way back to his heart, his true friends create an elaborate “birthday suit” for the Emperor to wear for his birthday

parade celebration. The Emperor quickly and humbly learns that sometimes “less is more”!

This production is part of the Missoula Children’s Theatre’s unique international touring project and is presented locally by MACA for the 21st year, thanks to contributions from MACA Supporters and the Monroe County United Way.

If you have  a child that would like to audition for The Emperor’s New Clothes, please follow us on Facebook. Auditions and other information will be posted there.
