Monroe Area Council for the Arts invited the community to gather at the Monroe County Airport as part of their week of STEAM.
Prior to visiting the Monroe County Airport, students were asked to create an aviation informational poster.
The judges reviewed the posters and the winners are:

The winners received a 30-minute flight from a Certified Flying Instructor.
All participants received airport memorabilia.
Monroe Area Council for the Arts would like to thank the Monroe County Airport, local pilots serving as judges, sharing information & stories, teaching artist Dr. Amber Patty, TN Arts Commission and the John D. Grubb & Louise G. Sumner Fund for Monroe County for their support.

Tina,
Thank you for inquiring about art classes. We currently have a Summer Arts Camp that is being offered June 2nd – June 6th here in Madisonville. The flyer and information is provided here on our webpage under the “Events” tab. We also have a Facebook page, under Monroe Area Council for the Arts, that we post current or upcoming classes we are offering. The classes and workshops we offer are dependent on grants and support from community members, so times and dates vary throughout the year.
